  oder weniger große Unschärfen.\nDas zeigt sich darin\, dass die genau nac

 er Hardware-Entwicklung werden deshalb oft "Golden-Devices" verwendet.\nAl
 le Geräte müssen mit dem Golden-Device (welches den Entwicklern vorliegt)

 os\, jedenfalls in der Theorie...\n\nAuch in der SW-Entwicklung können Gol
 den-Devices (Referenzimplementierungen) sehr hilfreich sein.\nWie hilfreic
 h\, zeige ich an Math::GoldenBigMath.\nDieses Modul soll das Golden-Device
  für die Perlmodule werden\, die mit großen Zahlen rechnen.\nHat jemals je

 it Ausnahme der Formatierer gibt es für alle Modultypen Basisklassen\, von
  denen zusätzliche Module abgeleitet werden können.\n\nFormatierer können 
 unkompliziert erstellt werden durch die Implementierung einer format-Metho
 de. Dabei steht das CPAN-Modul Text::WikiFormat hilfreich zur Seite.\n\nWi

 ziehen.\n\nDamit Message-Passing auch bequem wird\, braucht man allerdings
  einen Unterbau\, der Kommunikation\, Sicherheit\, Authentifizierung usf. 
 übernimmt.\n\nGenau dieses leisten AnyEvent::MP und Coro::MP - sie orienti
 eren sich an Erlang\, sind jedoch sohwohl ereignisgesteuert (AnyEvent::MP)
  als auch Prozess/Threadbasiert (Coro::MP) anwendbar und bieten darüber hi
 naus sichere Authentifizierung und falls gewünscht Verschlüsselung.\n\nIn 
 diesem Vortrag möchte ich die Konfiguration und Programmierung eines AnyEv
 ent::MP-Netzes erläutern und einen Ausblick geben\, wie man Software abstu

 MD\nprocessor design community.\n\nOne focus is the testing of operating s
 ystems as host or guest using\nvirtualization features of the latest AMD h
 ardware and our contributed\nfeature patches for Linux\, Xen\, KVM\, etc.\
 n\nAccompanying an automation layer that allows scheduled setup of\nvirtua
 lization environments we developed a test infrastructure that\nallows non-
 aristocratic participation by reporting test results in TAP\n(the Test Any
 thing Protocol) in an easy manner. Those reports build up\nan archive of t
 est results with a variety of platforms and\nenvironments.\n\nSupplementar
 y to a web interface which allows browsing the reports we\nalso provide an
  interface how a developer can access the test history\nin a scriptable wa
 y and therefore complement the easy reporting\ninterface with an easy eval
 uation interface.\n\nIn this talk I will present the base ideas of the inf
 rastructure and\nfocus on the way how we provide an easy report and evalua
 tion\nenvironment built around TAP and Perl but without the need for the\n
 Perl TAP toolchain for the participating users.

DESCRIPTION:Documentation is an extremely important part of open source sof
 tware development but it is frequently neglected.  In part this is because
  of the "scratching an itch" nature of many open source projects.  In fact
  some of my own open source projects are woefully under-documented due to 
 time constraints and the use case of the code I'm writing at the time.\n\n
 When I first became involved in the Catalyst project\, Catalyst::Manual::T
 utorial contained some explanation of the architecture of a Catalyst appli
 cation\, with some example code\, but if the user followed the tutorial th
 rough it did not result in working code.  This obviously impaired my abili
 ty to use the framework\, and left me with the only alternative which was 
 to finish writing the tutorial myself.  As well as buying me a good deal o
 f free technical support by contributing back to the community\, this even
 tually lead to a strong culture of example driven documentation in the Cat
 alyst code base as shown through the now comprehensive tutorial\, and the 
 many examples written by members of the community in the Catalyst Advent C
 alendar.  So the first part of this talk will look at the community benefi
 ts of producing documentation.\n\nThe second part of this talk will introd
 uce the anatomy of different kinds of documentation\, including technical 
 docs\, user docs and code comments\, with the importance of each outlined.
   From here I will move onto the important links between the test suite an
 d documentation.  I'll talk about the innovative approach that Matt Trout 
 took in the Catalyst book by linking version control commits\, the test su
 ite and explanatory text in his "Extending Catalyst" chapter\, including t
 he up-side and down side of this approach.  Finally I'll go on to explain 
 the link between testing and documentation\, going into the rationale behi

 entation is easiest for code with a narrow scope\, and few 'moving parts'.
   In the final part of this talk we'll audit the Moose documentation (and 
 its extensions) for clear examples\, and describe the anatomy of writing e
 xample driven explanatory documentation which will leave the programmer cl
 ear on how to use the library\, and about the future direction that their 
 code should take. The key take-home message of this part of the talk is th
 at for documenting code libraries with complexity we need to account for t
 he high intrinsic cognitive load inherent in explaining programming issues
 \, and ensure that not too much is demanded from the reader.\n\nWe'll fini
 sh the workshop by auditing the documentation for Moose and its extensions
 \, looking for places where complete working example code will be useful. 
  Then in the workshop part of the talk we'll write examples for Moose and 
 its extensions which can be easily folded back into the documentation.

DESCRIPTION:Over the past few years\, the state of the art in Perl applicat
 ion development has advanced by leaps and bounds\, notably as a result of 
 the Catalyst MVC web framework and the Moose metaprotocol and object syste
 m.\n\nHowever\, systems scripting has a different set of priorities to app
 lications development - ease of modification by a sysadmin not hugely fami
 liar with the language is essential\, as is fast startup time for usage in
  shell scripts\, and deployment must be made as trivial as possible.\n\nIn
  this talk\, I intend to discuss how the same principles that enable the n
 ew perl enlightenment in applications development best practices can be re
 purposed in a way that both makes perl more of a super-shell than ever bef
 ore - but also to allow easy and rapid development of complex\, reliable u
 tilities in a manner still consistent with the requirements of systems adm
 inistration tools.
