We have rented three meeting rooms in the hostel. Even though they have beautiful regular names at the hostel, we wanted to give them even more appropriate names for our workshop, namely:

By car from Nijmegen

First follow the signs to the hospital Rijnstate, but after passing the park Sonsbeek, don't turn left, but go straight ahead, leaving the city. After a few hundred metres you cross a bridge. After the bridge turn right onto the road that runs in parallel and slowly descends to an underpass under the following bridge. Turn left to pass through the underpass and then immediately right. Go up to the end of the lawn and turn left: that's Diepenbrocklaan. After 50 metres you're there.

By car from the West or North

Take exit 26 (Arnhem-Noord) from the A12, in the direction of Arnhem. A few hundred meters after the interchange turn right into the Schelmseweg in the direction of the place Oosterbeek, the Burger's Zoo and the cemetery Moscowa. Attention: don't follow the signs to the zoo on the highway, that would be a longer route.

When you get to the traffic lights turn right, go along the cemetery. Just after the town sign of Arnhem, at the end of the cemetery, turn left. Follow the road until you get to a big lawn on the right hand side and turn right just before it: that's Diepenbrocklaan.

By public transport

From Arnhem Central Station take line 3, 20 or 21 to the stop Ziekenhuis Rijnstate. Careful: line 3 also goes to the other end of the city...

Railway-station Arnhem Central has been under construction for over 10 years, so better avoid the front side. Leave the platform of arrival stairs up to the back exit (Sonsbeek-zijde), using an old metal/glas walkway.

Leave the station building. Turn right, downhill, for about 200m to find a traffic junction. Cross it, and follow the leads of the trolley busses (like a tram has). About 30m later, you'll see bus-stop 'Bothaplein'. All busses go to Ziekenhuis (=Hospital) Rijnstate, eight per hour in total. Trolleybus 3 takes 10 minutes, busses 20 and 21 only five. One zone = two strips.

Get off at the hospital (you can't miss that!). Facing the hospital, go right, slightly up. The Stayokay is on the 'green' hill, just in front of you. There is a long, narrow pathway up, somewhere left on that hill. You can see the lights of the big Stayokay building on top.

By train and walking

A brisk 30-minute walk through Park Sonsbeek. Take the back exit of the station: walk up through the glass construction, not the temporary metal walkway. After 50 m, turn left and go uphill. At the first junction turn right into the road and bicycle path "Pels Rijckenstraat". Walk downhill up to the Watermuseum at the edge of the park. Continue into the park, go past the Chinese restaurant. Walk along the big pond. Follow the path through the valley. In the distance you see the modern hospital building. Once past the hospital you face a tree-covered hillside. The Stayokay hostel is on that hill. There is a staircase leading up, slightly to the left.
