new project that you've not been involved with yet\, discuss and bounce ar

DESCRIPTION:D-Bus is a message bus system\, a simple way for applications t
o talk to one another. It provides a simple yet powerful interprocess comm
unication (IPC) mechanism.\n\nThe D-Bus allows programs running in the sam
e computer to interact with each\, no matter the programming language (Per

l interaction between different services and can start services on demand.
\n\nThis talk shows how to use D-Bus with Perl.

DESCRIPTION:In this talk full of practical advice I take a real-life Perl p

how to make code testable that was not written with testing in mind\, and

DESCRIPTION:A/B testing\, also known as `split testing` or `bucket testing`
is one of the most widely used methodologies behind website testing and i
mprovement. It usually involves testing two pages against each other\, one
being the control page and the other one being the test page. This talk w
ill attempt to give you a small taste of the basics behind A/B testing\, h
ow one could be implemented and some fancy math on how to evaluate its res

DESCRIPTION:NYTProf is the cutting edge of perl profiling. It fixes import
ant problems in DProf and surpasses all other profiling systems in terms o
f features. It has a highly-linked HTML output format that is much more u
seful than all previous profiling output formats.\n\nDespite all that\, NY
TProf is a new project\, and it has some important limitations that you sh
ould know about.\n\nIn this talk\, I will discuss how to use the NYTProf\,
examine why it is better than everything before it\, and discuss importan
t "gotchas" to keep in mind.\n\nIf time reminas\, I will also discuss some
other profiling-related projects that I find useful.\n\nNote - current sl
ide link is to an older version of this talk with a wider focus. I am in
the process of updating this material to have more focus only on NYTProf
