There are a lot of good perl tools available for building software development infrastructure. I will discuss how to get started with Devel::Cover, HTTPD::Bench::ApacheBench, and Devel::DProf (among others) and some lessons learned and best practices for building all those bits a web-based project should have, but we don't always get around to.
