The Register http://www.theregister.co.uk/ is the UK's leading IT news web site. Almost all our software is written in Perl, which we chose for its flexibility, expressiveness, and (of course) for CPAN. This talk briefly outlines how The Reg is put together, and in particular the use we make of Perl.
