In many ways Perl is a lot like many other languages. But it's also a lot different from many other languages - particularly the ones people tend to learn at college.
For two and a half hours, we'll go into the basic syntax of Perl and hopefully at the end there will be a few more people around wanting to take some of the many Perl jobs on offer in London.
There's a lot to get through in a relatively short time, so we'll be moving pretty quickly.
