How do I get in touch with the organizers?

Send a mail to email. The organizers also tend to hang out on IRC, #yapc or #cph.pm on MagNET/rhizomatic.

How do I buy a ticket?

It comes in two phases. First you register, then you pay.

Registration is easy. If you have participated in a previous Perl event, chances are that you already have an account in the Act system that we use to keep track of things. In that case, just use the 'Log in' link in the menu. Otherwise, create an account through the 'New user' link.

Once you have logged in, you can go to the 'Edit profile' page, and follow the 'purchase your conference ticket' link. This is where you can select exactly what you want to purchase, and this is where you perform the actual payment.

If you find out later that you want to purchase additional items, like maybe a Tutorial day, or an Attendees Dinner ticket for you significant other, just follow the 'make additional purchases' link.

I'm a speaker. Do I have to buy a ticket?

No, if you are giving a talk, we consider that to be payment enough. Of course, you can buy a ticket, but we will not force you to.

Unfortunately, we can not extend that philosophy to Lightning Talk speakers. So if you are 'only' giving a Lightning Talk, you still have to buy a ticket.

The ticket price - is that for each day?

Due to an unfortunate wording, some people seemed to think that the ticket price was for each day. This is not the case. The ticket covers all three days, lunch and refreshment every day, and the Attendees Dinner on thurday.

I see you're using Paypal, but I don't have a Paypal account! How do I pay?

We use Paypal for handling the payment, so if you already have a Paypal account, you can just pay using that.

On the other hand, even if you do not have a Paypal account, you can pay using your credit card (VISA, MasterCard, AmEx, maybe others). Paypal now supports that.

If Paypal does not suit you, you can pay by doing a manual bank transfer directly to our bank account in Denmark. Please contact us at email if you wish to use this option, and we'll supply you with the relevant info. We are not trying to make this more difficult for you, this procedure is just so we can ensure that your payment gets matched correctly with your account in the payment system.
