People don't talk about Perl as much these days, even on some popular Perl mailing lists.
There don't seem to be as many Perl jobs advertised and many programmers who
used to write in Perl have taken jobs in other disciplines.

Are we hearing less about Perl because it's less popular than before? Or is it
just that nobody needs to mention it because it's everywhere? Or are people less
interested in languages and more interested in end results?
