"Pocket Perl" book in the Supporter Pack
We are happy to announce that the book Pocket Perl (by Stefano Rodighiero, Ed. Apogeo 2008) will be included in the "Supporter Pack".
The Italian Perl Workshop is a free event, and it's not necessary to buy a ticket to participate. However, if you want to support the Workshop, you can choose to pay the "Supporter" price or make a donation. This will help us offer better services and organize events of ever higher quality.
The Supporter Pack is priced EUR 50 and it includes the following:
- Event T-shirt
- Invoice (upon request)
- "Supporter" attendance certificate
- A copy of the book "Pocket Perl"
- Perl.It Association membership (if requested; more information soon)
Regione Toscana patronage
We are proud to announce that the Regione Toscana gave its patronage to the Italian Perl Workshop.
The organization would to thank President Claudio Martini for the patronage and for the support to the event.
Workshop attendees update
Currently there are 172 attendees from 15 different countries.
The Italian Perl Workshop is a free event, and it's not necessary to buy a ticket to participate. However you should confirm your participation. Once you have logged in, you can go to the 'Edit profile' page, and follow the 'confirm your participation' link. On that page you can confirm you participation. In addition, if you want to support the Workshop, you can choose to pay the "Supporter" price or make a donation. This will help us offer better services and organize events of ever higher quality.
Make your personal schedule
Did you notice the small stars in the schedule page, beside every talk?
If you're logged in and click on one, your presence at that presentation will be registered. This way, you can make your own personal schedule, handy to print and bring with you at the conference, to be sure you won't miss anything.
Also, you will help the organizers to spot space problems in advance.
Social Dinner
The attendees' dinner will be on Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 at Ristorante Duomo), which is very near the Leaning Tower.
The price for the dinner is EUR 30; this includes: appetizers, two first courses, one second course with side, dessert, coffee and beverage (wine/mineral water/beer).
To everyone who has not yet confirmed their presence at the dinner, we kindly ask to do so via the website before Monday, October 19th, 2009.
To anyone who will join at the last minute (which is to say, during the registration on Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 between 9am and 10am), we'll try (but we don't guarantee) to ensure the same menu and price. In case we won't be able to, the restaurant should have enough space to allow everyone to join the dinner, even outside our agreements (in this case, by ordering 'à la carte').
Some things to note:
If you are a speaker, that is, you are going to give some (non-lightning) talks, you don't have to buy the dinner ticket: the organization is happy to offer it to you. The same applies to 'guest' speakers or a sponsors.
