NYTProf is the cutting edge of perl profiling. It fixes important problems in DProf and surpasses all other profiling systems in terms of features. It has a highly-linked HTML output format that is much more useful than all previous profiling output formats.
Despite all that, NYTProf is a new project, and it has some important limitations that you should know about.
In this talk, I will discuss how to use the NYTProf, examine why it is better than everything before it, and discuss important "gotchas" to keep in mind.
If time reminas, I will also discuss some other profiling-related projects that I find useful.
Note - current slide link is to an older version of this talk with a wider focus. I am in the process of updating this material to have more focus only on NYTProf
