This talk describes how to log your Perl application's behaviour.

The talk should interest anyone new to writing large Perl applications: it describes how to log effectively, how logging helps you develop and maintain applications and how to diagnose problems in your code.

In terms of Perl, the talk focuses on Log4perl and Log::Dispatch, showing you how to customise the different things you care about at different times and how to log them in different ways.
