It is possible to sleep at the venue, My One Hotel Galilei (4 stars): you'll be just an elevator ride away from the conference! Please note, however, that the hotel is not in the downtown, see map:
It's possible to reach Pisa city centre walking (Pisa is fairly compact), although at dusk it could be not the most pleasant walk and a taxi may be preferable. Shuttle buses from the city centre will be available for the conference and other events we do at the venue. The hotel has a shuttle for guests which runs to the nearby airport (not at night), where public transport is available.
Room prices are quite reasonable for a 4-star hotel:
- double (for one person): € 70/night
- double (+1 infant): € 90/night
- triple: € 110/night
Prices include breakfast and VAT.
My One Hotel Galilei has many rooms reserved for the YAPC, so if you're sleeping there be sure to state the YAPCEU2010 code when booking via e-mail or phone: even though the code wont't provide you a discounted rate, it will allow you to book the rooms reserved for the conference.
Do not book through the My One Hotel online booking system, as you won't find free rooms when using it.

Straight in the centre of Pisa, Royal Victoria Hotel is a cosy historic option if you want to sleep downtown. It's also a short walk to the train station, where you can catch the shuttle bus for YAPC.

Hotel Minerva
Minerva is a 3-star hotel in a position which is convenient both to the city centre and the train station. There's a variety of room types to choose from, which you can book on their web site. Be sure to mention YAPC::Europe 2010 conference to get a 10% discount from August 3 to August 7.
Pensione Rinascente
Pensione Rinascente is a family run hotel in the heart of Pisa. Despite being right in the city centre, room pricing is reasonable and it's also convenient to walk to the train station.

- triple with toilet and shower: € 75/night
- 4-people room with toilet and shower: € 90/night

Located just a few meters from the train station, the 3-star Hotel La Pace is also a short walk from the centre. Rates are:

This popular and highly-rated hostel is located near the leaning tower, and makes for a good low-cost alternative.
